Operations Technical Support

ZoomSystems is looking for an Operations Technical Support person with experience in the software and hardware industry. This person will be responsible for overall maintenance and technical fixes of all ZoomShops. This includes all of the technical support issues: reception, recreation, troubleshooting, and support of ZoomSystems’ custom hardware and software.

Responsibilities:
  • Point person for all field related issues: troubleshooting, duplication of field issues, resolution, and documentation.
  • Travel and install new units nation-wide.
  • Receive Technical Support calls from Field Technicians.
  • Offer Level 2 support and resolution to technical issues.
  • Train Field Technicians and establish technical support processes and practices for field technicians.
  • Develop technical support documentation.
  • Troubleshoot and offer improvements to production hardware.
  • Support other aspects of service, including customer service.
  • Feed issues into issue tracking system and work on resolution.
  • Travel to train and support junior level techs.
  • Support Bay Area deployment hands-on.
Requirements:
  • Understanding and troubleshooting of windows platforms NT, 2000.
  • Demonstrated track record in hardware integration, production release, and/or technical support.
  • Higher education; minimum 4-year degree EE or CS or equivalent experience (preferred).
  • Java, J2EE, SQL Server, PCI, AGP.
  • Strong PC assembly and troubleshooting skills a must.
  • Must be able to travel 50% of the time.
