In 2002, after several years of intensive research and development to create the perfect automated store, Gower Smith, a serial entrepreneur, founded ZoomSystems. And, it was only two short years later, in 2004, that ZoomSystems partnered with the world market leader in automated delivery hardware and invested heavily to develop the proprietary and patented software that operates each ZoomShop.

In October 2006, ZoomSystems entered into an agreement with Federated Department Stores to test more than 100 ZoomShops within retail giant Macy’s.  After the success of this test, Macy's has added e-Spot ZoomShops in over 400 of their locations. 

Since then, ZoomSystems has continued to partner with great brands to open approximately 1,000 locations across the U.S. and Japan as we continue our market expansion.
