In the role of CEO, ZoomSystems’ founder Gower Smith is responsible for the strategy and execution of the company’s corporate business plan, and for maintaining relationships with major business partners.
Before founding ZoomSystems in 2002, Gower created shareholder wealth in six Asian technology businesses, including four successful startups: ComputerLand, the Australian distribution for Apple computer products, Archives Computers (a networking and software company that was later sold to Impact Systems), and Boomerang Imaging Supplies. Gower led the turnaround of Impact Systems, which was acquired by Gestetner, and became responsible for Gestetner’s Asian marketing operations. Gower completed his radio technician certificate with the New Zealand Broadcasting Corporation, and studied microprocessors at the Melbourne Institute of Technology and Caulfield Institute of Technology.
